We noted no concerns with holding on the sand. There is little protection from east southeast winds. The long east southeastern fetch allows waves to build 4-6 ft (1-2m). We anchored here for provisioning at Harbour Bay Shopping Plaza, less than 1.0 km along East Bay Street on the south side. Ferries and tourist boats use the SE dock areas during the day with accompanying wakes. The Nassau Fish Market is an authentic Bahamian open air market.
