Fort Montague Bay anchorage water depths are variable across the bars from the north channel to the armored beach areas. We noted no concerns with holding on the sand. There is little protection from east southeast winds. The long east southeastern fetch allows waves to build 4-6 ft (1-2m). We anchored here for provisioning at Harbour Bay Shopping Plaza, less than 1.0 km along East Bay Street on the south side. Ferries and tourist boats use the SE dock areas during the day with accompanying wakes. The Nassau Fish Market is an authentic Bahamian open air market.

Good holding in sand just off the beach. Open road stead anchorage with little to no swells with 10 knot winds out of the east southeast. Very pretty sandy beaches and a few rock outcroppings to snorkel around.

Picturesque anchorage that appears well protected from the east, south and west. Open to the north unless you work your way eastward, south of Strachan Cay. Lovely sandy beach on SW Strachan Cay

Clarence Town is NOT a Port of Entry at the Flying Fish Marina.
