We stayed in East Port for a year and enjoyed the staff who were always willing to help. Two good dining options are within walking distance and full shopping and dining experiences are only 3 miles away. There is modest Uber service available. The approach to the marina accommodates our draft but you will get low/very low depth indications due to the heavy silting in Peoria Lake. Unless the pool is significantly less than the 12' average you should not have any problems getting in an out of this marina. Be advised you should stay in the center of the approach channel since the regular ongoing traffic helps to keep this clear and you want to stay clear of possible buoy chains that can shift with lower water.

The water depth from the main channel to the marina is shallow. The route to the marina is marked well with orange bouys and white bouys.
The marina staff were helpful. Docks are in good repair. The bathrooms are nice. Laundry and ice are free. We had free use of the pool. The bar/restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating.

June 12 we called the marina and requested depth of channel and we're told we have other boats your size in and out of here. Should have asked more.... The channel is marked but if the wickets Dams are all down and the water is low. this is a MUD pit... we turned off the channel and we're in sludge... we couldn't turn around as the charts said to stay in between buoys or it gets worse. we made it in.. but on the way out we hit and wrapped a root around the prop and tweeked both props..

Marina is very nice but. MUD..
Harbor master said there is a deeper "thinner mud"hole just at the marina exit. from that point every body "guns it" gets up on plane to cross the $#/! pie.

The water coming in is shallow but the channel is well marked and we had no trouble.

Showers are very nice. Laundry and ice are free! Super helpful staff.

Unfortunately the pool is not available to transients.

It's a skinny entrance into the marina but once in the marina is great. The staff came out to help us on the dock. The local boaters were VERY nice to us and invited us to docktails. They do have a fuel dock with gas and diesel. Restrooms were clean and roomy.
