We called Boat US and was put in touch with Towboat Captain Rick to help us navigate the Little Egg Inlet. I don't think we would have been as successful otherwise. It's a tricky channel with shoaling and currents and a couple of the markers/bouys are either not in the right place or are missing. Stay in the channel approaching the marina and you'll be ok, just be aware there's a wicked current. All that being said, the dockmaster was knowlegeable and very helpful in docking. We were pleasantly surprised that "Towboat Rick" was actually stationed at this marina. The bathrooms and showers were clean and there was an extensive "library" of books to exchange.

I understand the hesitation of some to come to Beach Haven given the sketchiness of the approach, but it is well worth a visit! We loved walking down to the main street to the restaurants and shops! Live music and DJs nightly at some of the restaurants/bars. You can easily walk across the width of the island to the repertory Theater and to the beaches on the Atlantic side.

Spent 3 nights here as we were wind bound. Dockmaster James was super welcoming and helpful. Fuel prices were good and docks were in great shape. The marina is within walking distance to great restaurants, groceries, liquor store, shopping and entertainment. The Beaches are beautiful here as well. So happy we found this place and we will be back.

June 27 2022. Came in with gusting winds but Jimmy the dock master and crew took care of our lines even jumping on the boat to help secure lines on the piles. Stayed two days to wait out strong S winds in the upper 20's. Re-provisioned at the grocery store about 4 blocks away. Fuel prices here were below most others. This is a good trend as we have fueled here before. Staff very helpful and friendly. Older facilities but clean. Great access to the town. Strong W winds could be an issue here. Pump out included with dockage.

I came in unexpected and was greeted warmly. Jimmy the dock master took great care of me and the boat even helping tie me up. The people based here are super friendly and welcoming. There are a LOT of choices truly within walking distance for food, drinks and entertainment. Only stayed one night but I wish I could have stayed a week!
