VA: AICW, Mile 3.0 Southern Branch Elizabeth River, Dredging

Kokosing Industrial will commence dredge operations on or about September 16, 2025, in the Elizabeth River; pertaining to the Lambert Bend to Paradise Creek and Southern Branch Federal Navigation Channels. Loaded scows will be towed from the work areas to the Unloader barge located at the Craney Island Dredge Disposal Area for offloading. The unloader barge will be staged just east of the Sewells Point to Lambert Bend Channel near the Craney Island Eastward Expansion area. An 18" submerged HDPE pipeline will be placed from the Unloading Barge into the placement Facility. The Dredge KOKO V will be dredging the area with the assistance of towing tugs and scows. Vessels and crew will monitor VHF channel 13 during the project execution. Dredging and unloading operations will continue daily until the estimated completion date of December 15, 2025.
