His base unit radio was having problems so he switched to his handheld. Super nice & great job timing the opening of the bridge. Always a pleasure to have a nice bridge operator. Thank you sir.

The man operating this bridge was excellent! Very kind and super efficient. Called about a half mile out and he had us continue on a steady course and speed and had the bridge open quickly when we arrived minimizing anything delay for us and minimal traffic disruption! Made for a nice and easy pass through.

Many thanks to the gentleman manning this bridge. Called him a mile out saying we were southbound. Said to continue coming and he would have bridge open for us. Last markers prior to bridge he reassured us to continue present course and speed. The bridge was open for us, and minimized the road traffic's wait time. Skillfully executed and appreciated by all. Thank you.

Called to notify bridge when we were a mile out heading south. Gentleman responded he would have bridge open for us. Passing last markers prior to bridge we were again told to keep up present speed and course and it will be open. And it was. This guy is an artist at clearing bridge for us yet also minimizing the road traffic's wait. Many thanks to a job very well done. Is appreciated by all.

NOAA charts for bridge heights can be confusing We had 21’ to low steel, with 4 additional ft in center @ MHW In all cases check the gauge boards for current conditions

    • WG Editor Comment:

Which is what the NOAA charts states, 25 feet.
