Ashepoo River North
- Lat / Lon: N 32° 32.676' / W 080° 27.207'
- Depth: 7
- Tide: 3
- Description:
Good place to wait for high tide to transit the Ashepoo-Coosaw cut off. Good holding in mud with fairly strong current. Do not anchor in the main channel as shrimp trawlers use it at night. Fair wind protection in windy conditions. We have used this anchorage in November 2024 and April 30, 2025. A few small boats go by but not too bad with wakes.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
