West End Cay
- Lat / Lon: N 26° 53.549' / W 077° 56.488'
- Depth: 6'-10'
- Tide: 2.0'
- Description:
The anchorage is well protected from the north by the natural breakwater of Little Abaco Island. Additional protection from the west is provided by West End Cay and the shallows in the surrounding area.
The holding is very good over a sandy bottom, provided one remains well clear of West End Cay and in waters deeper than 6'. The shallower areas are hard and holding is marginal.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
