South Nation River
- Location: Rideau Canal
- Lat / Lon: N 45° 33.665' / W 075° 03.922'
- Depth: 10+
- Description:
Plenty of depth all the way in to the basin before the bridge. Good protection and excellent holding in mud with few weeds. Shoals quickly on the west side of the basin, but easy to find 10-20' of water with plenty of swing room. Some road noise from the bridge; also some fishing boat traffic, but no problems with wakes. Fair T-Mobile reception. Looked like private land everywhere, but there is a small marina just upriver from the old bridge footings where you might be able to walk the dog. Very quiet and peaceful night off of the Ottawa River on a busy weekend. We loved it here!
