Coast Guard has established a special anchorage area. Yachts measuring 65 feet or less are not required to show anchor lights in the area. The bottom is hard in some places, and it is difficult to get the anchor set. Pick a spot clear of the few moorings and be mindful of the current.
NOTE: PER GA HB 833 DO NOT ANCHOR WITHIN 150 FEET OF A MARINE STRUCTURE SUCH AS A PRIVATE DOCK OR 300 FEET OF A MARINA, OR WITHIN 500 FEET OF APPROVED COMMERCIAL SHELLFISH GROWING AREAS.
