  Soldier Cay HP is the closest cay to the Sea Aquarium in the ECLSP which makes the anchorage here very popular. Unlike most locales in the Bahamas where boaters are seeking deeper water, the challenge at Soldier Cay HP is to find shallower water in which to set anchor. There is a broad expanse of sand at the north end of the cay and which is  < 0.75m away from the Sea Aquarium, that can accommodate several boats. The only other place in the area where it is possible to anchor in <20’ of water is on the sand bar that separates Soldier cay from Halls Pond Cay
