- Depth: 8'-10'
- Tide: 2.5'-3.0'
- Description:
There is a small bay on the north end of Big Farmers Cay that is large enough for 1 or 2 vessels. The holding is good in clear sand and the protection is good enough for this anchorage to be a viable candidate for weathering a cold front. It is also next to Farmers Cay Cut which provides for an easy access to Exuma Sound for those wishing to avoid the shallower routes on the banks to the south of Farmers Cay. There is a small beach at the east end of the bay that may be used for going ashore.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
