Five Fathom Creek–South
- Location: McClellanville
- Mile Marker: Mile 430
- Lat / Lon: N 33° 04.083' / W 079° 28.033'
- Depth: 4-10 Feet
- Description:
Leave the ICW at green daybeacon 25 and proceed south about 0.50 mile on Town Creek. When you get to Five Fathom Creek turn 120 degree to port (north) and go up Five Fathom a hundred yards or more to anchor in 15 feet. This gets you out of the main channel and is a wonderful anchorage. There are many lost crab pots and lines on the bottom. Use an anchor retrieving line, have a wire cutter ready as some lines are steel.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
