Harpeth River
- Location: Cumberland River
- Mile Marker: 153.0 LDB
- Lat / Lon: N 36° 17.538' / W 087° 08.295'
- Depth: 8 feet
- Description:
Follow the Harpeth River upstream from the Cumberland to where the Harpeth widens. Will see approximately 20 feet until the anchorage which shallows to 6 to 8 feet. Light current and firm sand/mud bottom makes for easy anchoring. Anchorage adjacent to 300+ft sheer cliffs on one side and farmland on the other. Best place for shore access is a boat ramp/dock at the park at the entrance to the anchorage off the Cumberland. There is a RV park with ramps upstream from the anchorage, but we found them to be in disrepair.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
