    Idyllic and open with homes surrounding at reasonable distance for privacy. Perfect July day with light winds. No other vessels in anchorage but plenty of room in our location and towards the East. Little boating traffic (commercial/private) during our stay ( a Tuesday). Within dinghy distance of York River Yacht Haven if desired (they do have dinghy dock and services). Transit from York River Yacht Haven area on a +1.5 tide (falling) [Tide Times and Tide Chart for Yorktown, York River (tide-forecast.com] showed average of 8-10 feet until reached anchorage: 37 15.476N 076 28.440W where anchored in 9' water. Transit per charts and stayed in middle of "channel" as no day marks to assist. At low tide (+.3'), 7.6' water at anchorage. Holding. Danforth anchor set quickly in mud/sand. Benign conditions during period.
