Cayos de la Lena

• Description: Cayos de la Lena is a favorite anchorage for cruisers transiting the Cape or awaiting a good weather window to transit the Yucatan Channel for Mexico but who do not want to stop at the marina. Although the itself is isolated, there can be a surprising number of small- to medium-sized fishing boats passing through the canal as they travel between the acopio on the west side of the Cayo and the reefs to the north.
