- Location: Cuba
- Lat / Lon: N 22° 47.705' / W 083° 41.793'
- Depth: 4-5 meters
- Description: Cayo Coruita is a hurricane hole that is used by fishermen from the nearby village of Puerto Esperanza. The water is deep and much of the anchorage carries 4 meters or deeper. There is good holding and wind protection from all directions as well as from the offshore swells that build rapidly in this area with a northerly wind shift. The anchorage is large and deep enough to accommodate large vessels with ease. See Waterway Guide Cuba for details on navigation and approaches.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
