- Description:
Comment 3/14/16 from Jacques: One of the best anchorages in the Chesapeake. The first anchorage to port is very popular and often crowded. The sandy spit is popular with day trippers. Lovely place to swim in hot weather. (Barring sea nettles). Farther up the creek are other well protected anchorages and potential hurricane holes.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
