  Square Rock Cay is uninhabited. There is good protection from the north in the lee of Square Rock Cay. The large Square Rock, which stands off the northern tip of the cay, and gives it its name breaks the waves from the west, but it is not big enough to afford much protection. Nevertheless it is the best bet for cold front protection between the north end of Lee Stocking Island and Emerald Bay Marina. The holding is good in sand with a light covering of grass.
