- Description:
Childrens Bay Cay is a private island that is the site of elaborate several homes. The bay is filled with a nearly drying sand bank and is impassable except for a narrow band of water around the rim of the bay. The bay is bisected by a small island which acts as a natural breakwater that calms the water in front of the beach. The anchorage is off the beach just north of the entrance to a private marina basin. The anchorage is surprisingly calm even when the winds are above 20 knots.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
