- Description:
Fowl Cay is a private and strictly off limits for going ashore.
There are two two rocky arms extending from the east and west sides of the cay which form a horseshoe shaped bay that is open to the NE but offers good protection from all other directions. The holding is good in largely clear sand which slopes gently towards the beach. The deepest water is along the rocks on the east side. With a little planning there is room for 2-3 vessels.
For those wishing to visit the caves at Rocky Dundas, this is the closest anchorage and it is only a short dinghy ride to the cave entrance on the north east side.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
