Royal Island
- Location: Eleuthera
- Lat / Lon: N 25° 30.950' / W 076° 50.560'
- Depth: 7'-10'
- Tide: 2.0'-2.5'
- Description:
Royal Island harbor provides good protection from all directions, but a strong south wind will push a noticeable but not objectionable swell into the harbor. The holding is in silty sand in the east end of the harbor and in grass over sand in the west end of the harbor. There is a dock on the west end of the harbor for going ashore. Although the island is private property there are only caretakers on the island who will not object to you stretching your legs on shore.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
