- Description:
For vessels coming from the north, the anchorage on the west side of Comfort Cay is the best option in the entire area, as it offers good protection from the prevailing east and SE winds. The bottom is largely clear sand and the holding is excellent. It is also the closest anchorage to two very deep blue holes that are 0.75 nm NW of the anchorage.
You will spot the remains of a stone cairn on shore as a landmark.
DISCLAIMER: Before committing to an anchorage, you should confirm that the location is not governed by a regulation that may conflict with your plans. An increasing number of states and municipalities are enacting laws that define where and how long you may anchor.
